Wilfred Guillory

MAMOU - Funeral services were held for Wilfred Guillory, 72, of Mamou, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Mamou at 2 p.m., Tuesday, December 31. Burial followed in the Platin Cemetery.
Mr. Guillory died Saturday, December 28, 2013, at the Evangeline Extended Care Hospital in Mamou.
Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Trudy R. Guillory of Mamou; four sons, Roderick Guillory of Oshkosh, Wisconsin; Carl Guillory and his wife, Starr, of Prairieville, Adam Doucet and his wife, Vicky, of Ville Platte and Anthony Doucet of Clinton; three daughters, Sheila Illescas and her husband, Rene, of Spring, Texas, Sandra Brazen and her husband, Frank, of Vacharie and Cynthia Balfa and her husband, Tim, of Breaux Bridge; three brothers, Terry Vasseur and his wife, Shirley, of Porter, Texas, and Terry Guillory and his wife, Beverly, and Donald Wayne Guillory and his wife, Catherine, all of Pine Prairie; one sister, Sally Soileau and her husband, Robert, of St. Landry; 18 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester Guillory and Evangeline Granger Guillory; his step-mother, Lilly Mae Guillory; and two brothers, Roger and Lee Ray Vasseur.
Father Mark Melancon officiated.
